Remember back in the days when GUESS? was actually quite desirable? You wanted the GUESS? paperbag don't 'cha. Admit it you ah lian!



GUESS really got it going back then. Back in secondary school, GUESS was all the rage. The market is bored of Levis. The don't want the small red tab on their ass. They want the bigass triangle instead.

People would actually pay for the paperbags. Meaning, if you buy Guess jeans, you pretty much have cash rebate. Them ah lians will use the paperbag for the totes. Some use it as school bags even.

Don't matter if the string is cutting into my shoulders. It's Guess baby!

The next question is of course,

A decade later, Guess is but a shadow of it's former glory. Nobody buys their appearals. All the little girls only go to guess for their big pasa malam watches with the shiny bits and the whole range of bootleg handbags.

You step into Guess and if you are familiar with bags, you can see LV, Gucci, Fendi... the list goes on. And all of this blatant piracy is done with terrible workmanship. Is it done by the ametuer sweatshops? When the kids graduate from making Guess bags, do they get to work in the Gucci sweatshop?

Did you see the sale they have? Did you see the way they cram the bags on the display shelf? Did you see the discount trolley with heaps of Guess bags? I know... I wish I hadn't. But I did. Good job destroying the brand.
