Hermès breeds their own croc. PETA not happy.

It takes 3 to 4 crocs to make an Hermès bag. And we all know how well they did. So running out of quality croc hide is a real issue. If you wanna do it good, do it yourself they say. So they did: they are rearing crocs in Australia.

lofty aspirations

Of course People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) not happy. They said

The thought of purposely breeding and killing crocodiles for an outdated, overpriced handbag should make any fashionista’s skin crawl. If Hermes really wants to be a leader in the fashion industry, it should stop killing animals for cold-blooded vanity and use cruelty-free mock croc and fake snake instead.

Hermès should make a handbag like in the picture above just to spite PeTA

First, people who buy exotic skin handbags think of:

* how beautiful the hides are
* how goddamn expensive the bags are
* how bitchin' jealous their friends are gonna be

NEVER. I say NEVER did they thought of where the crocs came from, did they had a good life before being imortalized as a handbag or if they brushed their teeth. Rearing them no good? Then how? pull em out from the Amazon?

Then there is the mock skin... Here is Hermès' reply.

nigga, if you can convince people to buy mock skin handbags at $40k a pop, we're on. No? Then shut the fuck up, please. We're high class. We don't scream swearwords.

In short, don't be stewpid.
