the B has landed

The B has finally landed. Now for the unboxing...

This is my first ever branded anything. You'll be paying money for the pretty packaging. Might as well enjoy it. First off the little paper bag with the thick handles.

Next comes the cardboard box. With stickers holding the sides.

wondered how much i paid for the box

and this sticker as well

You think that if you open the box, you will see the wallet? Fools!

more packaging!

Wrapped in meat paper for optimum freshness!

gold fonts. love it.

here it is. nothing fancy. just a bifold

It is so leatherish that even the inner lining is leather. So smooth and soft. kimochii!

a refreshing change from the usual 'MADE IN CHINA'
maybe this is like most electronics:
made in china, assembled in italy

1234567890? huh?

pure propaganda adding mystiqe to the wallet. you paid for it. now read it.

You can see that shuyi's wallet has a lot more gloss to it. That is the patina which grows with use. My new wallet is more matte and hard now. It'll wear in soon enough. Such is the beauty of raw leather.

Treating leather are meant to hide flaws. Only high end stuff dares to push out untreated leather. A prime example is the leather handles of LV. Those who got them would remember how they look like at day 1: matte and light brown. With prolonged (and careful) use, they turn into a glorious orange tinge with nice gloss. I've also seen dirty bastards who dirty the leather so much, it traps the dirt and becomes blackish. Throw the LV bag away son, you destroyed it.

couple wallets.

So it is goodbye for the Bran Buffel wallet shuyi got for me years ago. Was it 7? or 8? The leather developed this great patina but the edges were so worn that they peeled. I could still use it for another good 10 years. It is that durable. But I was simply bored with it and the Bottega is so nice. I cannot resist.

bye
