Went to a chalet over the weekends. Started pretty late but we had good fun.

Sammi 姐's wedding
Sammi 姐's wedding was held at Paramount. A Tung Lok joint with pretty good food and a nice cosy ambiance. The wine glass miraculously keep topping up and I blushed quite a fair bit. Sammi 姐 and her husband makes such a cute couple. Have a blissful marriage!

Wedding shoot
Had a fantastic day of shooting today. Huimei helped with Shuyi's hair and makeup. It turned out well and it held out all the way till the end of the day. Thanks!

We had a great start at Toa Payoh Blk 28 where they still have one of those playground in the shape of a dragon and with *gasp* sand! The area was so run down and ghetto, you cannot believe it is merely 5 minutes to Toa Payoh central.
After that was Selegie area where we grabbed a quick bite and took some pictures at the new La Selle school: you know, the black building. We headed onto Little India but it was, you know, kinda packed.
Undaunted we headed off to Fort Canning. Being a wedding shoot hotspot & Shuyi's ex workplace, we had to shoot there. We did some rather interesting shots there. Especially the one whereby Shuyi hid in a bush and I pretended to be looking for her.
Next we hopped on to Padang for some shots. We were losing light but Ian packed some serious light tonight. After a couple of shots, it went totally dark and we proceeded to Esplanade, which was pretty fun.
Next was Mohammad Sultan which turned out to be pretty fruitless. But we gave it one last shot at the abandoned F&N factory and came out with some funny pictures, ending the day with a blast.
It was a long day but totally worth it. Next shot, Anchorvale 320c! We'll live the rest of our lives with one tasteless pre-wedding album if not for Ian. My homie got ma back!

buy bedset
With the bed frame and matters in place, we need to get some sheets. Where better to get it than the great Singapore sale and at Robinson?
No. Really. Where?
We have no idea and so Robinson it is. We ended up with 2 sets of 500 thread count Egyptian Cotton sateen sheets and a down quilt. It is certainly not easy to convince Shuyi that no goose were hurt in the process of collecting the down. Comb! Not pluck!
Before that, we did some window shopping.

Auntie-ing around the world: maldives
Another part of auntie-ing around the world. Who goes to Maldives and only take ONE photo? This auntie.

Balam Rd, Shuyi
Shuyi in the skirt which she thought was far cheaper because she got the exchange rate wrong in Seoul. Blur print with little ducks paired with a slim leather belt.

prelude to a fuck...
No, not foreplay. Verbal fuck I mean. Phases like
1. ...for your infomation
When people say this to you, be SURE that the next minute of conversation is not for providing information to update you. It is to blatantly point out that you are wrong. Very wrong.
2. ...with all due respect
This means they are not gonna give you an ounce of respect. The phase is merely a disclaimer to brace you for the verbal fucking that is coming.
3. ...no offense but
You know it is gonna get offensive. Most often used in forums to prep you for some serious flaming. Pretentious people love to abuse this. Makes them feel superior and sarcastic.
Stop these pretentious bullshit people. If you wanna screw people up, do it. Don't lightly coat it with sugar and expect people to take your sugarcoated bullshit.
