Got to take a break from all the Greece pictures. White and blue are burnt into my retina already.

I saw this uncle drawing a big (relatively) audience outside the mall.

He have a portable DVD player, hands-free mike, speakers and a whole album full of KTV DVDs. This uncle means business.

Before he starts singing a song, he will give some comments on the song: who sang it, when was it popular etc. You get the impression that he is more concerned with singing than the money.

Remember those days where we have nothing? No computer games, plain lego (not the pre-mix kind), rubber bands etc. Things were simple. We had to make do. Things are what we think they are.

Here is ah xuan with a sticker stuck on her thumb. It can be a band aid. A dress for her finger puppet. I don't know, a magic wand?

It is good to know that such imagination still exists today where instant gratification is demanded in all everything we do. Screw the slow cooker. Who has time to slow cook anyway huh?!

We were kinda in a rush and my sister and ah xuan started running. So I was presented with the chance to run after someone and take photo like a paparazzi.

So i did.

This series of shots were taken at a heartland event.

The 2 老夫子s cracked jokes in hokkien and teochew. What surprised me was that the kids were laughing to the jokes. Could it be that they find dialets funny in general (you don't really hear it on mass media) or they actually understood what they are talking about. Hell, even I only understand half of it.

I caught a glimpse of this lady who was sitting beside me and found that she have an air of elegance about her. Strange place to meet someone like that.

She was too well coiffed for a HDB void deck. I don't really agree with the polo ralph polo though. How big do they need to make the logo? I'll take the buaya (lacoste) anyday.

She caught me shooting her eventually but was kind enough to let me proceed. I just smiled and continue shooting.

After the stand-up comedy, the indian emcee starting singing and it went downhill from there. He was wearing a red Hawaiian shirt. Like c'mon!

greece sneakpeak

Before you get flooded with the tonnes of photos in the wegogreece blog, here's a sneak peak of where we went to in greece.

We hit the ground running by climbing Mt Olympus on the first day (well, half of it). And attempted to climb to the summit on the 2nd.


Next, off to Meteora, with all the monasteries on top of skyscraper mountains.

We flew to Santorini and did the beaches, the volcano island cruise, some swimming in the sea and rode the ATV around.


Then we head north to Mykonos & Delos.


And lastly Athens where we did the usual touristy stuff and 2 day trips to Sounion and Delphi.

blindfold

All blind people should wear blindfold. Before you get all 'you insensitive pig' on me, let me explain. When do you see people wearing blindfolds? Other than being held hostage, people put on blindfolds to do badass stuff like cutting up a whole bunch of people with a katana, assembling a rifle and shooting it AND hit bull's eye, playing guitar etc.

Let's put it this way. Whatever cool/badass stuff you can do, you can do it cooler/ultra-badass if you put on a blindfold. When haters go 'che, I could do that' put on the blindfold and make them stfu.

So you see, putting on a bindfold and doing shit is cool. Heck, look at this dude right here.

live report from santorini, greece

A different kinda tour. Almost spent the night in chilly winds in the wilderness of Mt Olympus.

Almost lost the camera in a taxi in Meteora, only to get it back and gain a nice guide for the tour.

Our cameras suffered from camera diarrhea... 30gig and we're only halfway through. Picassa cocked up on us and misread the G10 raw files.

Swimming in the sea, riding the ATV on the winding mountain range at night, riding the donkey, lazing by the beaches... Santorini is so beautiful.

Gonna spend weeks editing the photos and doing up the travel blog.
