Now, for their 10th anniversary, we reminisce and look back at the engineered jeans. Like I mentioned in the other post, due to unforseen circumstances, the engineered jeans went to the bargain bins real quick. Shuyi got herself a pair back then.
The push button closure, the thread outline of the tab (where is the leather tab?), the funny seam lines that runs from the sides to the front and most noticeably, the specially cut ends with the higher heels. The engineered jeans was quite an innovation, even by today's standards.
I did not get a pair back then (a bit of regret there) back then because to me, the engineered jeans don't seem to work for tall people. Honest. But i've seen shorter dudes rock it to great effect. Those short and stout dudes. Kinda like the dwarf in Golden Axe (inside joke).

Who could forget the ad back then where Takuya (yea the dude who sprays stuff on his nipples on Gatsby ads) walks around a perform some acrobatic moves at great ease, showcasing the non restrictive aspects of the engineered jeans. Man that was so stylish. Can't find the ad anywhere. Anyone?
Then we start seeing all the flatbed scanner posters in all shopping malls, most notably the tall lanky girl, clad only in her jeans, cupping her boobs with her hands. C'mon, you remember that one.
So, in the spirit of such a fantastic ad campaign, we did our own flatbed scanner picture. Being homeuse consumers, we only have an a3 sized scanner which I got in a buy-my-shit-as-i-am-moving-out-of-hall sale almost 7 years back at $30. The scanner still works great.
