meet frank

I made frank (or frankie) out of a piece of denim cut from a pair of G-Star jeans Shuyi got at a sale. It was for her birthday (27th maybe? gets kinda hard to remember after all these years). What I can remember though was that we went to Gallery Hotel to dine at the now defunct Eu La La restaurant which served fantastic paella and crab-meat pizza (they call it the Lova Pizza).

frank be chillin' by the wall

Frank is made following a template I found on the net. Workmanship is terrible. It has slightly movable arms and legs. No eyes too. I named it frank after Frankenstein cos thats what it look like with all the stitchings. I've initially named it Frankie but decided on frank as Frankie reminded me of a certain individual I had the misfortune to meet.

did I mention he can sit as well?

ghetto tube

How does one make watching drama series online less ghetto? Well, make it look bigger on TV of course! Hooked up the laptop to the TV via the PC input so conveniently found on all recent LCD TVs. Nowhere near hi-def but definitely good enough for me.

bad video quality inherited from poor source

Thats the idea for my new home. With a dedicated old PC hidden in the console. Gonna be fun.

handover

The contractor handed over the house to us today. All done up. Now to fill it up with some furniture...

Shuyi saw her very own 'oil station' for the very first time. I came up with the idea and the choice of laminate and kept it from her knowledge. She was very satisfied with it as we can see...

here

and here

and here

Now we have to paint the house (we decided to do it ourselves) and clean it up. Install the wardrobe, the curtains, the friggin bird cage etc. Horray...

wedding @ da club

Attended a wedding at Raffles Town Club. The place was pretty nice and the food, quite ok. I was sitted with some of my ex-colleagues and we engaged in some catching up.

mental note: waiters do not good photographers make

ladies

Angela & Samantha

Something that stood out for this wedding was the wedding singer. He was great! He even got some of the audience singing and clapping with/for him. A mean feat feat considering most of us are busy yakking away or stuffing our face. You're gonna see him at my wedding if the budget permits.

王八蛋

Round 2 was chatting at a kopitiam in Eunos till 4am. Really chatty bunch of fellas we are.

Ian did a little touch up for a couple of pictures and they turned out pretty interesting. Most of them looks kinda retro.

emo

Shuyi went off to Zurich for her work. Makes me kinda feel left out & emo back in sunny (read: fucking hot) Singapore.

Miss the days spent in Italy.

This sucks.

wedding @ fort canning

I attended a garden wedding over the weekend. The weather was perfect cept for the slight drizzle that left the seat slightly icky damp. Other than that, perfect.

Alan & April. for the longest time I thought it was May or June

The food, though limited in selection, was pretty impressive. Queuing up for food at a wedding is a first though.

There are a lot of ladies dressed in beautiful floral dresses. I guess they are excited by the whole garden wedding thing too.

ladies!

fellas!

Then we went to Bugis with Randy to buy basin piping. Serious!
